Smartconnect installation on Dynamics GP 10

S8880.2.jpg"Lenovo ThinkCentre M91P i5" to Finance. Smartconnect is not working although it browses the maps and opens them.

But it cannot validate or preview the map and also it cannot browse the Excel Workbook as it is gryed out. It freezes the application until I kill the session from Task Manager.

What I have done so far:

1- I deleted Smartconnect and reinstalled it > didn't work

2- I deleted Smartconnect and eConnect, then reinstalled them > didn't work

3- I deleted eConnect and Smartconnect, then reinstalled them > didn't work

4- I copied the files from a correct installation > didn't work

Request:

Has someone had a similar issue? or another solution?

    Hey Mobin,

Thank you for providing those screenshots of the source file. I would recommend verifying that you have mapped drives setup on your new laptops and see if that location actually exists.

    H:\_GP\IM\PM_TRX_AA.xlsx

If the mapped drives aren't setup yet or you cannot access that location, you will run into the issue that you are seeing above. It will most likely sit there and try to access but it can't. (Freezes)

Let us know on what you find and I may be able to guide you further.

    Thanks,

    Brady Riopelle

    Hi Brady,

    Thanks for the reply.

I just tried the propsed solution. Well, the "Data Source" window is able to find and read the Excel file, loads up the Sheet name, it is a progress but the screen is frozen and the "OK", "Preview" and "Validate" buttons do not respond.

I still have to use Task Manager to terminate the frozen session, however Task Manager shows the process is running without any problem.

I though it might need more time to read and process the file, I gave it 10 minutes, no changes realised.

    Regards,

    Mobin
