Reporting with MR - Report Wizard and Dimensions Available

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello Everyone,

So I'm fiddling around in MR trying to make new reports (new user). I'm using the report wizard and eventually you are prompted to pick which dimensions you want to use to sort in report sections. I'm only seeing three dimensions (we have one for operational functions (where most of our accounts are listed) and the others are to differentiate products. Instead I want to see all of the accounts I have in the system. How can I tweak this to show me the correct accounts/segment I need? Thanks!!!

Here are some pictures incase they help!

    Kimberly,

Run checklink Financial-Account Master and restart the MR again.  please take a backup before doing this.

Microsoft Dynamics GP menu >> Maintenance >> Check Links

No Transactions. See that's the thing, I have deleted them and they're showing up perfect in GP - MR still sees them though.

Were there any transactions booked against these blank accounts?   If not, then you should be able to go into Cards >> Financial >> Account, pull up the account and delete it.   However, if there were transactions booked against it, then you'll only be able to inactivate the account.

Actually one more question and I promise I'll get out of both of your hair. We deleted some premade accounts in GP and added in our own. Now when we look at dimensions, we have all of the blank accounts. How can I go about deleting these? Thanks!!!

It worked perfectly! Thank you both for all the help. I really do appreciate it! There's so much to learn in GP, we're going to be busy for awhile.

    Thanks again!

Sorry Kimberly - I should have remembered to tell you to restart the MR services in the Configuration Console.   Let us know if this didn't work.
