    Yes, you can do this.

First you must install windows 2003 server and sql server carefully.

I recommended to you show this video before installing.

    Re: Microsoft CRM 4.0 installtion

    Hi Baris,

Thanks for reply, Let me explain first how I am trying to do my installation, the machine on which I am trying to install is Windows 2003 Enterprise edition server, installed with SQL server 2000 and SQL server 2005 both, before starting installtion i go through basic requirements and found that it needed Active Directory (.ie. Domain controller) which is not available in our network, so we upgrade our sql server 2003 server for Active Directory ( before it is under workgroup network), also checked for Reporting server which is on same machine with trying to access url like http://server/reportserver  successfully accessed, also updated SQL Server 2005 with SP 2 .

but still it shows SQL Server 2005 SP2 is required ,

what is wrong with my installation. Is anything I am missing or doing wrong please suggest me..

    Regards,

    Abhijeet

This is not normal a situation. Did you restart machine after upgrade process. Maybe it will continue after restart.

    Thanks everybody,

As per Baris, I tried later to see if I really forgot to restart machine, and what pleasent surprise It's installed successfully, without any error, then I tried to access it through browser with newly created CRM website, again it shows me another error breaks the page and shows "url can not contain special charachter"  but at first sight I am not see it carefully and get frustrated again, next time when I see carefully this error, I figrued out that problme is in SQL server "Reporting server Name"  i.e. sqlserver$2005 , CRM can not continue with & in its name, surprisingly when we install reporting server it automatically suggest the name with $,  to come out from this problem we changed reporting server name without any special character and it works finally !!

    Thanks

     Abhijeet .
