Batch List Print Error in SOP Batches

If I had hair to tear out, I'd be doing it right now.  Have a user who prints the Batch List from the SOP Batch window.  However, when he prints it, before the list appears, he gets an error saying he doesn't have permission to open the window.  He clicks thru the error and prints the Batch List successfully.  Power Users do not receive the same error message, there is no window that precedes the Batch List print window and this user doesn't receive the error message when printing the Edit List instead of the Batch List.

I've looked at every security task I can think of that might be causing this error, to no avail.

Does anyone know which task needs to be added to this user's security to eliminate the error message?

Thanks in advance,

The SOP Batch List belongs in the TRX_SALES3_003 Task ID. I found that by running Reports->System->Security->Security Task Setup and I restricted the Task Category to Sales. Hopefully this will help. I have never seen this before myself.

Go to www.gpelementz.com - they have an add-on for Dynamics called "Security Informer".

Whenever you get a "Not Privileged..." message, it pops up a second window to tell the name of the form or report that you do not have access to and it tells you the Dictionary it belongs to.

The reason I still have some hair, is because this add-on has saved me from tearing it out(!) - many times.

    It would be a good idea to intersect the user security privileges with another user with a similar access. It would provide a limited view in which the missing security tasks reside. Check the post below;

User Security Role Enhancement - Intersect

    Hope this helps,

No need to pull hair ....

From  the user where it work get your  GP Window name or Report name  (GP Resource name).

For the GP resource name get  GP Security ID from SY09400

For the GP security id get the task id from sy10700

For the GP tasks id get the role id from sy10600    or create your own roles.....

Rest or the story see the table above....

Let me know how many hair is still remaining....

    Hi Frank,

You have probably resolved this issue by now but I had the same issue today. I used the DexSQL log to narrow down the specific window.

In my case Manufacturing was installed and adding the following operation to a Security Task resolved the issue for me.

    Product: Manufacturing

    Type: Windows

    Series: 3rd Party

    Operation: SOP_Dummy_Report_Form

    Regards,

    Annmarie.
