Cycle counting by Location

I just started at a company using D365. Is there a way to cycle count by location rather than item? I am being told if you have an item in more than one location, it will not let you generate or process another cycle count until the first one containing that item is closed. Doesn't sound logical. (I am on version 10)

    Hi,

Would you please specify which application you are using in Dynamics?

Finance and Operations, Version 10. Is that what you are looking for?

    Hi,

Please use the spot cycle count to scan the locations of the items wise rather than item wise.

    Hi

I am not sure what you are referring to "spot" cycle count? We do not have Advanced Warehouse, is that something offered in there?
