Add the "Send approval request for the record and create a notification" event. Or just create the workflow from the template so it will automatically add that event.
Also, set the Approval type and Approval limit type in the "Create an approval request for the record using approver type Approver and approver limit type Approver Chain" event.
Set the Approval Chain in "Approval User Setup"
