Edit PO - GL Batch

Normally you would not see a PO transaction hit the GL until items were received.  I recently viewed a customer transaction where there were GL Batches from an Audit Trail code of EDTPO (Edit PO).  Where would something like this originate?  There was no drill back functionality when viewing the JE.  The GP version is 11.00.2292 (SP4).

Well, what if you have used the Edit PO status to close the Purchase Order  ? That would result with a General Ledger effect. When a purchase order status is "Closed," an Edit PO journal entry (EDTPO) is created that reverses the general ledger effect of the original shipment for the units that were received but which were not invoiced.

Further information can be found here:

The Closing of Purchase Orders does not always generate a journal entry backing out Accrued Purchases in Microsoft Dynamics GP
