Planning Optimization Error

We upgraded from AX2012 last year and are just now switching from Master Planning to Planning Optimization.  For each of our Resource Groups, we receive the error message:
Contract: ProductionResourceCalendarContract, id: 5637195576. Resource 220-1240 was not found.

The number reference is a Resource Group, not a resource.  I can resolve the error by removing the Current Calendar from the Resource Group, but I believe that it needs to be there.  Once I restore the Calendar entry to the Resource Group, the error returns. The resource and the resource group use the same calendar and it has working times scheduled until 2027.

Does anyone have any information about what we have incorrect?

Is it still with 'first line', or have you managed to get it escalated to the product team?

Don't stand for poor support. You're paying for it and its not good enough and its a story I hear all to often.

If its been over a month and you've been prompt on your side I would consider asking for it to be escalated.

    Planning Optimization Error
Guy, I logged the error with Microsoft Support a month ago and have been receiving string me along messages ever since, but no answers.

I am not exactly sure what corrupt data in WrkCtrResourceCalendar would be.  I remove the records from that table and the error goes away.  I add a new calendar entry to the resource group, the table records are created and the errors return.

    Thanks for the response!

    Hi lispyj

I can see a response from the product team, in relation to this error message, was to use the TableBrowser and check for corrupt data in WrkCtrResourceCalendar or WrkCtrResourceGroupCalendar. But I don't have anything more specific than that. You could log it with Microsoft support for further investigation.

As for removing the Calendar from the Resource Group.... I thought it was needed, but the last time I really tested it was before Planning Optimisation. Perhaps Planning Optimization works differently. However, it should be possible to have a Calendar on the Resource Group and not get an error.

    Planning Optimization Error
I am still struggling through this one.  I have found Resource Groups that have a Calendar without working times don't throw this error.  We have a few obsolete and specialty Resource Group/Calendar combinations that aren't currently being used, so don't have working times. These resource groups don't throw the error.

Here is a question: If Operations Scheduling is not used, can the Resource Group calendars be safely removed?

    Thanks,

The ID referenced is a record in the WrkCtrResourceCalendar table.  There is a WrkCtrResourceGroupCalendar table, so I thought perhaps the Resource Group records throwing this error were left over from AX2012.  I deleted them and relinked a resource group to the calendar hoping to cure the issue.  The group was readded to the resource calendar table and the error in planning returned.

    Thank you for your assistance!

    Hi LJ,

Can you share a screenshot with the error message?
