Hi Guys

We are on 17.5 version and in report dataset for posted sales shipment, i get get the warning

Field 'Cross-Reference No.' is marked for removal. Reason: Cross-Reference replaced by Item Reference feature..

However when I check the table data (shipment lines), Item reference field is empty. Is there anything I can do now to fix the code or do I have to wait till next version?

thanks

Are you storing that data against items? You could alter the code it suggests. I don’t think it’s worthwhile if you’re not using the feature. However, if this is a custom copy of the original report it won’t get updated. This would force you into updating manually later. You can enable the change early as shown below.

From MS Docs: It's becoming more common for item identifiers such as GTINs or GUIDs to contain 30 or more characters, which is more than the current feature for item cross references can handle. If you need to use references that contain more than 30 characters, your administrator can turn on the Write longer item references feature on the Feature Management page (link requires that you have a Business Central tenant). How you use references doesn't change, but the names of things like pages and buttons will. For example, the Item Cross-Reference Entries page will become the Item Reference Entries page.
