Hello Dynamics Community
I have a new customer wanting the best way to manage the planting of seeds. I was thinking of using variance as the plants grow in size.
Stage 1 - managing the growing stage (some don't survive due to conditions), moving them while growing into different areas in the building, batch tracking, allocating the costs associated to the growing of the seeds.
Stage 2 - Once they have been matured, they are potted into small pots, moved, realizing a new value of these new potted plants including the new sale price and identify the size of the new plants (pot Diameter) additional costs for pruning, maintenance, etc.
Stage 3 - When the plants grow again over time, they need to be revalued, still identified by batch, they need to be moved into a larger pot which makes them more valuable.
To add to this at Stage 2 or Stage 3 the plants could be earmarked for sales to a Council so they need to be reserved.
I think this requirement flexes a lot of business central's muscle.
Can anyone share some insights?
Maybe you should talk to these people. They have a add on for handling cases like this.
