Hi Guys,

I'm developing Customer Portal for my client, (MS Dynamics CRM 2015, Im not using Customer Portal Managed solution, I'm in the way of gen Early bound bound class and late bound method)

I'm using Account entity to Create Username and password for them. Now the problem is how can i validate the username from the webportal?

For this scenario shall i access the CRM Database directly to validate the username and password?

or else how can i search whether a particular username is validate or not?

Give some suggestion/Idea regrading this

Thanks in advance :)

You have to validate user existence by using crm API  or Use Filtered views of the database to check existence of the account.

I have implemented in similar scenario few years ago and used CRM webservices along with encrypting and decrypting algorithm before storing passwords.

    Hi,

We have developed portals for our client and stored user name and token over contact form, for the authentication, we used windows live authentication check this:weblogs.asp.net/.../integrate-windows-live-id-authentication-into-your-website

If you want to authenticate then i dont suggest accessing the crm database. If you need to autheticate user using the information that exists in the crm then you need to go with CRM API call to verify the credentials.I would suggest either implementing custom authentication using crm API or going with the suggestion provided by HIMBAP

    Hi Abed Haniyah,

Thanks a lot, your suggestion helped me to do this.

    Thanks for the help guys!!!
