Does Business Central allow back posting date

Hi, we are trying to back date a transaction so that it posts in June and not July. I made all dates on the sales order 6/7 and changed the warehouse shipment posting date to 6/7. When posting the shipment and invoice the date got posted as today's date.

I tried this with sales & receivables setup posting date = work date and also  = no date. Same behavior.

Is this BC design? I thought changing posting date to a past date was supported.

    No, you do not need to change work date. Whatever is the work date no matters, the date that you specify on document should be used. This is how standard flow is.

    Are you saying I must change the work date before posting even if the value of the posting date field on the document is back dated?

    Hi,

    You can post in back date. Check your work date and check if you have customizations in sales posting routine.
