Question for the community at large: do you run RMS on a tablet?
I have RMS running on three tablets--but they all share the same issue and work-around.
The problem: when I click the numeric keys on the native RMS keyboard, the actual product screen becomes de-selected, and no input is recorded. Basically, it's like clicking off of notepad and typing and realizing that you need to click back on notepad to actually have text recorded. If I use the Windows 8.1 native touchscreen KB, the type input works just fine. As of today, when we do use tablets for RMS, we have our associates ignore the RMS touchscreen KB and open the 8.1 keyboard insteal.
I reported this issue in September of 2014 (REG: 114090211763267) and was told that it would be listed as a defect, but it had no fix date assigned. I've never heard anything back.
A year later, I'm still trying to find a good tablet solution for my organization. I installed RMS with the CUM 2000 update this morning on a Surface 3 Pro, and found the same issue as I'd documented on two different Dell Venue 11 (pro and standard).
So, again, the question: have you successfully implemented RMS on tablets--especially in the 8.1 OS? I had, in years past, had luck with RMS on Windows 7 tablets.
