Greetings. I worked with Dynamics GP for many years and I only work with BC from an outsider's perspective. Does BC have a table that stores balances per account/period? From my understanding, the balances on reports are calculated from the activity. Is that understanding correct?

Your understanding is correct. The balances are calculated based on the G/L Account No. and Posting Date fields in the General Ledger Entries Page by summing the Amount field.

Hi, just add some information.

There is a Filter totals by function in BC, through which you can directly filter the balance at a certain point in time. This is very convenient.
