I am getting an error with trying to invoice a customer - the error is:  "The price level/U of M combination is not included in the price list for this item".

Any thoughts/recommendations?  I am running GP2013

Thanks!

    RE: Inventory Price List

The cause of the error is Price List not setup for the Inventory items entered in the SOP line window.

    Resolution:

    1. Go to the Item Price List Maintenance window (Cards-->Inventory-->Price List).

    2. Enter Item number, Price Method, Default UofM, Default Price Level and enter the price details as well in the scrolling window and Save the information.

    3. After completed the step 2, go to SOP entry widow delete the line item and re-enter the same items to check whether the error persist or not.

    Hope this helps!!!

    RE: Inventory Price List

If you want to blow off the Price Lists altogether, there is a checkbox in the SOP setup window that reads "Prices Not Required in Price List". I think it allows you to not even set a price list up for an item. You can put a password on it if you like.

Another shortcut is using the Copy function to create a new item. It will copy the price list too; something the Item Class cannot do.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

    RE: Inventory Price List

Thanks so much!  We are invoicing service items and a price list is not necessary.  The ability to ignore it is great - for some reason - I do have to enter a Price Level in the Sales Transaction Entry screen - but since I made it not required - I am no longer getting the error.  Any idea why I can't just leave the price level blank?

    RE: Inventory Price List

    Hi again,

Good point. It is a required field but you can default it in every time if you set a price level in the Receivables Management Setup window. If there isn't a price level set at the customer level, the system will check for one on the RM setup window. This should get you going without those pesky error messages.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie
