Customers versus Contacts Company and Contact Person

Basics

I am a construction subcontractor working for General Contractors and direct with owners.

Does MS Dynamics BC require manual duplication?

I have followed the steps Multiple contacts for a single customer - Dynamics 365 Business Central Forum Community Forum

  1. Set up a General Contractor as a Contact -Company (searched for Contact- new- choose company)
  2. I set up all the persons who work for the GC(searched for Contact- new- choose Person)
  3. Worked great within Contacts I now see  GC Name and all persons under who work for GC)

Do I now need to manually recreate the “General Contractor Contact -Company” as a Customer?

How do I sync “General Contractor Contact -Company” and “Contact -Persons.” With MS Sales.

    Hello Mike,

In Contact Card there is a function that allows you to create the Customer Card:

     - Choose Actions > Create as > Customer:

After Customer Card is created, you can check the relations from two places:

1 - In Customer Card choose Related > Customer > Contact

    pastedimage1611072540721v5.png

2 - In Contact Card choose Related > Related Information > Customer

Here you have an example: Create a Customer, Vendor, or Bank Account from a Contact | CloudFronts

And more info here: Create Business Contacts - Business Central | Microsoft Docs

    Hope it helps you.
