Dear 365 Community:

Please help differentiate when is job card and route card used in Production process?

Also is the creation of job card & route card journal always manual?  Is there a way to automate the creation of this?

Thanks,

Pamela

Route card can be automatically be created when processing production start or RAF

Job card should be manual as it is capturing actuals by the operator and needs job scheduling

    Hi Rahul,

The All jobs are created upon Job scheduling but the Job card journal is not created automatically and therefore I cannot post the Job card.  I think this is also related to error I'm getting upon RAF of production order with job scheduling "Job ### has not been reported as Finished".

Can you please confirm your reply that Job Card should be created manually?  Is there a way to create Job Card automatically or any step or setting I missed?

    Thanks,

    Pam

The job card can be created automatically by the Job card terminal or the Job card device, yet this needs the ME sub-module to be set up and the workers properly trained:

However, even the Route card journal can eliminate jobs: "end-marking" an operation in the route card journal removes all the jobs at that operation too.
