Buying a license for MS 365 BC from Microsoft

Hi Community,

Could anyone help me with a couple of questions here please?

1. I've registered a MS 365 Dynamics BC and got an 'IW' license which looks free. I suspect that at some moment I face some limitations or the platform will be shut down as a business product cannot be free. Am I right here?

2. I'm trying to buy an Essentials license but cannot find such option on the admin center. When I try to create a support ticket it redirects me to Power Platform admin center where I cannot create a ticket because I don't have a paid support plan which I also cannot buy anywhere. Is it possible to buy a license without a partner?

Thanks!

    Hi Herman,

Your trial license normally lasts for 30 days and can be extended to 60.

You need to purchase your BC license through a CSP partner, you can not purchase from Microsoft directly.

you can go here to find a partner near you.

Thanks Inge, but I couldn't find any countdown for the trial and the support team reassured me that 'IW' license doesn't expire. However they couldn't explain limitations of it. I've tried to contact partners but they were not responsive which is quite irritating.

Is there really no way to buy a license directly from MS?

I am not sure how you obtained that ISW license. They can be provided from different sources and might have slightly different limitations.

Yes, there is really no way to buy Business Central directly from Microsoft.
