I was not envolved in the setup of RMS at one of my customer sites, but have been charged with pulling data from RMS on sales for export into another application. My question has to do with the TransactionEntry table. I am finding a lot of rows that point to an itemID of 0 or an item id that does not appear in the item table at all. Because I need to pull these sales out showing what department the item sold wa assigned to, I need to link to the item table.
Is there a lagitimate reason these itemid's might be either zero or a number that does not appear in the id column of the item table. I am suspecting that this was part of a not so great setup/adjustment history.

Thank you. I suspect that your right about how they got there. From what I've been told, it was a problematic install. I was just concerned that there might be a legitimate reason for them being there. If no other responces suggest otherwise, I will assume that is the case.
Thanks again.
Charlie
Just did a quick query and I have no transaction inside the TransactionEntry table that points to an Itemid of zero. Maybe this is cause by deleting Items? Just a guess on my part.
