Continuous scanning in WMS application during cycle count.

Hi All,

I'm exploring the new GS1 feature available in warehouse management in relation to new requirements. It seems like I've hit a dead end on one of the points related to cycle counting. I can't seem to figure out a way to eliminate the manual user entry altogether in the process. My requirement is that the users should be scanning GS1 QR codes on each quantity of an item successively during the count. I do not want the user to enter the count manually after scanning the first item. I'm yet to come across a demo that does this. All of them seem to be asking for a manual entry. This in my scenario is bad since

1. Users can mistype/miscount.

2. It'll be a time waste to have the user enter the quantity multiple times.

If the device could scan successively, the user's input is taken out of the equation and they just have to move the items under the scanner from one pile to the next and the count should be accurate.

I could be missing some setup in plain sight, in which case I apologize for wasting your time in advance.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi partner,

Did you try to set the GS1 policy field to the "batch" policy?

Hi there, Thanks for taking time to respond.

    What I've tried so far:

    1. Used the standard "Batch" policy.

    2. Added "Qty" to the default "Batch" policy, where I'd add "~3001" to the GS1 string to denote 1 quantity.

Neither worked. Both are behaving exactly the same - once the GS1 is scanned, it'll ask me for the counted quantity.

    Hi Dileep,

You should use Spot cycle count for continuous scanning of items without considering the sequence of Items.
