Hi Does BC allow user to define bank reconciliation rules? Like how strict system allows the matching between records? Thanks!

    You can set matching rules in the payment reconciliation journal but not in the bank reconciliation module.
     
    The payment reconciliation journal may not meet your needs but if you use the payment reconciliation journal you can upload a bank statement, match lines in BC and reconcile all in one step.     Thanks for the response. If I don't want BC to validate an information column like description, I could remove it from the data exchange definition, delete that column in my excel, and reconcile, right?

    I haven't done that myself and I usually keep the description but yes that should work in theory. If you exclude that from the data exchange definition the matching would then look at the date and dollar amount instead. If you do remove the description that will give BC less to match it with though.
