404 "The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable."

Our CRM server suddenly stopped working.  When browsing to either the External URL from outside or the Internal URL on the server I can successfully sign in through ADFS. After redirecting back to the CRM url I get a 404 "The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable." The eventlog shows now errors, IIS is setup correctly and paths to CRM applications are valid.

My apologies if this topic has been treated before but I could not find a proper answer among the related topics.

Thanks!

    Hi,

404 is a common error. Reaching a solution to it may contain number of process. Till my knowledge i had certain steps to analyse it.

    1) do check whether your SQL logs is running out of space(which was the case when i got 404).

    2) do reset IIS.

let me know, if there is any other lead you find. So that i can check.

    Thanks

We have similar situation in our development environment. I couldn't access 2 of 7 organizations and keep receiving this message "The resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.".

At the end, I found that I was not CRM user on that 2 organizations. You'll probably agree that I should receive different message in this case.

After a colleague added me as a CRM user, and everything worked fine.
