How to Add a "Birthday" Field to Customer Information

IN RMS Store Operations Manager, when I look at any of our customers in our Customer Database, under "Customer Properties" there is a tab for "Additional Options."  I am assuming this will allow us to add extra data points about out customers over and above Name, Address, E-Mail, Phone, Account Number, etc.

We wish to begin collecting Birth Month in order to start e-mailing out Birthday Coupons.  So I have two question.

1.) How do I add a field for "Birth Month"?

2.) Is there a way to do it such that at the POS, the field is simply a pull-down menu of the twelve months?

Thanks in advance for any help,

RE: How to Add a "Birthday" Field to Customer Information

    Hi Robert.

    Please see this picture: http://prntscr.com/dqmw40

Go to RMS SO Manager, with Admin credentials, go to File / Configuration. When a new form pop-up, click on Captions button. In the new field, under the Customer tab, just enter the Birthday text in one of the free date fields. This will make this field available for your RMS user to fill in with the corresponding data.

For the second question, it's "automatic". When You "activate" this field, it will provide your users with calendar view for entering the data. The problem may be the "by default" date, but they can always click first Today and then change to desired date.

    Hope this helps.

    Best regards, A.
