EDC Settlement Error "Technical Error"

I am running 2POS lane [RMS 2.0 w/ CU5 on Windows 8.1 Pro platform] connected to a stand alone back office computer [Main DB]. All of the computers are connected through LAN. This is the first time happened since we started using the RMS. We got an error when we submitted the EDC batch for only one transaction with message "Technical Error" instead of "Settle". I am working with merchant processor to resolve this issue in case it might have happened due to something from their side. However, I would like to post this here in case someone run into the same issue and it might be RMS related. Please help at your earliest convenience and we would appreciate any help in this regard.

    This can happen when the batch has been settled but RMS didn't receive a response.  

    Also it can happen when a batch number has been duplicated.  The short of it is, this happens when the processor rejects the batch settlement request for some reason.

    Make sure the batch has been settled on the processor side and manually update the status of the cc transaction and batch to be settled.  Then run a test card and settle again through the SO Manager.

    Thanks for your prompt response. I think I was not clear enough in description. I tried to settle the batch with several transactions and all except one transaction was not settled so far. Also, I settled the another batch with several transactions and all of them were settled and shows up at the merchant side.
