Absence registration of operators for work centres in manufacturing

Hello
While typically absence registration for a work centre might be utilised for maintenance on a machine or downtime at a work centre, what about if an operator is going to be missing or on vacation for a day or a couple of days; it reduces the capacity at a particular work centre. Does this need to be registered as an absence on the work centre or how is this configured to reflect that. For example, if my capacity on a work centre is 20 operators within 8 hour work day shift, the capacity for the day is 160 hours but if an operator is missing it is now 152 hours.
