Change localization Business Central

We are a company with one database in a Dutch localization in BC in the Cloud.

In the past we also created UK companies in this database and they now use the Dutch Localization.

We are growing as a company and we decided to create an new environment for the UK companies with the appropriate localization.

We don't want to loose the current data in the database for the UK companies.

We want to copy the current database to the new environment to keep the data and remove the NL companies.

But is there a way to also change the localization from NL to UK.

Can any one advice my how to do this without losing data?

I have the same question (0)

There is no self-service available that will let you do this. Maybe Microsoft are able to help you with this if you raise a support ticket with them via your CPS partner.

    Hello,

Given the NL and GB local version are somewhat different, you cannot completely copy the database like creating a Sandbox from Production. Maybe Microsoft can backup the Company and Restore it into the GB database. You should have your Partner put a support ticket in. You could use configuration packages to bring over all the Master Data and open Documents. You can also bring over GL History.

I would check with Microsoft to see if they have a tool or easy way to accomplish.

    Thanks,

    Steve

Hi, from BC18, you can move an Environment to another Azure Active Directory organization. But the country, Azure region, and type of the environment (production or sandbox) will remain the same, and can't be changed during this operation. So I think although it is not very likely, but you can try to contact Microsoft support.

In addition, you can also manually migrate historical data, such as using Configuration Package.

    Hope this will help.

I don't think you can change your localization because there are lots of logic, table related to a localization.

You probably need to re-implement it to a different environment.
