Is it possible to Run Reports using Process(Workflow) or Add Report result content in Process(Workflow) Emails in dynamics CRM 2011

Hi,

I wan to run Report through(Invoke from Process) Process In Dynamics CRM 2011.

Basically the Situation is Our Sales Admin should get a report on every week, about Paid and Unpaid Invoices.

is it possible to run the report through Process and add those report result to the same workflow with Email template and Send to Sales Admin every week.

Can any one help me with this.

    As far as I know, there is no way out of the box to get this done...this feature doesn't exist in CRM 2011 Online. You have a workaround for the OnPrem version here:

    emailreport.codeplex.com

    Actually, I just thought of a possible solution that might work for you without having to do customizations.

    Will send a direct URL to the report suffice?

    If so, go to CRM and Run the report you want to send to him periodically, once the report shows the results hit CTRL+N on your Keyboard, this will open a new IE window exposing the direct URL for the report.

    You can then create a workflow that executes every week that sends an email with that URL to the intended recipient and he/she can click on it generating the results in an instant!

    Hi  Gus Gonzalez,

    first of all thanks for your Suggestions.

    I guess URL might satisfy.

    but the Email receiver have to be logged in online CRM in his/her Internet explorer to view the Result without any disturbance or else receiver will be authenticated if he/she opens the link.

    I guess there is no other possibility for online CRM users.

    Correct, but remember that this is an easy solution that requires no customizations.

    The same URL can be added to a dashboard within an IFrame.

    In the Report window you can select the report you wish to run and on the ribbon is a button called "Schedule Report" in there you can schedule it to run once a week and be emailed to a person.

    i cant  find it in Report window

    I need a clarification. if I'm designing the report now and get the URL, use it in the Email.

    the Email will be sent Every one week.

    Dose the Report content is same as first week or it changes as Records are updated.

    Hello Purush

    I am not sure how your CRM is Set but in Mine I go to the reports area under workspace, there it shows me all availible reports. On the top ribbon next to "run report" is "Schedule Report"

    Hi Kinwood,

    I cant fine in my CRM online CRM 2011. :(

    did you do some sort of ribbon customization.

    or did you import some solution, or my version is http://XXXX.crm5.dynamics.com. ASIA PACIFIC

     

    any suggestion to get that button?

    Hi Purush

    To be honest I am not 100% sure our CRM was built for us. We are running 2011 with service pack 5 I believe. Sorry.
