How many transactions per day can Business Central 365 handle? We are looking into roughly 40k transactions daily. Can Business Central handle it without having any issues? Will all the records be updated on time?
I have the same question (0)

Answer will be Yes, BC can handle such transaction as suggested by other there are other customers as well who are doing more transactions then this and its reports by Microsoft, so in you case it should not be a problem, Better do some code optimization if those transactions are made by custom extensions.

As mentioned by other users, the system can handle this. You can also configure it to postpone postings and other functionalities (e.g., automatic adjustments in the inventory module) to after business hours to speed up processing or better manage the large number of transactions.

Thank you. Another question: how does BC calculate the number of transactions? In other words when we sell an item: is it just one transaction in BC365? Or does it calculate as per accounting entries/journals?

Thanks for the below to others but actually made me more confused. Yum Zhu, does it mean only 6k sales order per day can be posted?

As mentioned in the picture, this is not the upper limit, but the existing record. Of course, it can exceed 6K.
However, I personally recommend that if your data volume is very large, you should consider large ERP systems such as FO.

    Thanks.

Thank you. So you think F&O would be better? But apparently even Starbucks uses BC365???
Do you know the answer to my other question? How transactions are calculated in BC365? Is one sales transaction counted as one? or 2/3 as per accounting ledger entries?
