Customize Leads entity to show Company Name

 Hi

 I am using the Leads entity but I'd like to display the company name, not the FULLNAME as the display when you open a lead 

 

e.g.,

Leads: John Dough 

is the default

 

but I'd like to display 

Leads: My Company

 

 Has anyone done this?  I tried to edit the Entity and replace fullname with companyname, but that failed.

    HI Mark

    Its not a straight customisation out of the box, what you would need to do is writesome Javascript on the onLoad event to replace the header title with the company name.

    If it is just a nice to have i'd probably opt for leaving it alone and make sure the company name is displayed in the list view of leads so you sale people can look for the company name in the list.

     I would agree with you on that...I'm nota  big fan of customizing functionality like this.  the other thing I can do is use the Last Name field for the company name, and recreate the first and last name fields.  we don't have a lot of data maybe 600 records....so that could be a day project to move the data over.  Personally I think the VIEWS are fine and I do have company name in all views.
