Stopping Purchase Recommendations in Planning Optimization

I have a number of items that we plan to stop selling after we run out. I would like to use MRP to project my on-hand inventory and when I will go negative but I don't want to get replenishment recommendations. Is there a way to stop getting MRP recommendations to purchase more?

I have tried a few things but none seem to work.

Hi Marc,

I don't see a straight forward solution. However, maybe two solution ideas:

Coverage group 'Requirement' & Stopped parameter

With requirements, only planned orders being proposed when needed (if the demand is more than the on-hand inventory0

Coverage group manual

Planning Optimization will not propose new planned orders anymore

As Laurens says, give the Item a Manual coverage group.

Or, if you are using Product Lifecycle functionality, you can use that to exclude items from Master Planning
