Dynamics 365 Report error The report cannot be displayed. (rsProcessingAborted)

Hi,

I have a report using CRM Fetch, working fine if the user has System Admin role. However, when the user has other roles (which have access to the main entity and related entities), the error (The report cannot be displayed. (rsProcessingAborted)) is displayed when the report is run.

I suspect some privileges missing, but I checked my queries, and all the entities are accessible by the user (without System Admin role).

I also run the report from Visual Studio using the User Credentials (No System Admin), and there was no error.

Some idea what may cause this ?

Thanks.

    Hi

Are you able to download the log?

I am using Dynamics 365 Online, so I have no access to the log.

In order to run FetchXML-based reports in CRM Online, the system user running the report must have the following security role permissions: Customization > Entity read, Customization > Field read.

I assume that you already given permission for users to read the appropriate entities but sometimes these obscure security permissions can be missed.

    Thanks Thomas.

The user role already has those permissions (Entity Read and Field Read, Organization level).

    Still not working.

Hi Lahcen, have you sorted this one out? I am getting the same error (we were migrated in online for the D365 version yesterday)... wondering if there is a solution for the online, as in on premise there are a lot of suggestions..

    Hi,

It turns out that the user was missing a privilege on Note entity... The report was not really using annotation, but there was a reference to it in one of mu queries.

    Thanks,

    Lahcen.

We were getting the same issue. In addition to privileges on Notes, the user was missing privilege on Currency as well. Providing the same, fixed the issue for us.

I have a System Admin user of Dynamics 365 receiving this error.  I have also tested as another System Administrator.  Any ideas in this instance?  The reports were running fine Friday and they stopped running Monday.  OOB reports are running.  We have made no changes to the reports, but there was, according to MS, "a minor update" over the weekend.  Seems to me it's obviously related to the "minor update", but I'm open to all ideas.
