Unit of Measure - pricing inaccuracies

I am trying to set pricing for some items. Because of the UOM, even with 5 decimal places, the prices are inaccurate. Using two decimals is completely out of the question, unless there is some way for GP to pull the price off of the default purchasing UOM, and not the base UOM. Using 2 decimal places makes case pricing off, sometimes by a few dollars.

Is there any way for this to happen?

You need more decimal places in the price? if so, you need to increase your Currency decimals setting. Can you provide an example to clarify your issue?

If the default purchasing u of m were the base u of m, would that allow you to properly price the item with the 5 decimals allowed?

I believe you may have different UOM decimal places on the inventory and General Ledger Levels.

What is the currency and inventory decimals places ?

I would appreciate further illustration as well
