    Hi Ivar,

I haven't done it, but you could scan your business cards to outlook and have Outlook sync with CRM. You can probably get a cheap app on your phone to take a pic of a card and it'll handle the rest. I'm sure there are fancier card scanner you could use but that seems like a real waste to me.

Hope this helps! I'd appreciate if you'd mark this as a Verified answer.

    Thanks,

     Aiden

HI Ivar, depending on what Mobile device you have there are many Free and Premium Business Card reader Apps that will allow you your Contacts as an Excel or Sync your Scanned Contacts to Outlook. From Outlook they can be configured to Sync with MS Dynamics CRM. I personally Use CamCard on Android, however many others prefer Iriscan etc as it can be configured to sync directly with MS dynamics CRM. Also If your CRM is On Premise without IFD, then Outlook sync is one of the simplest options.

RE: Scanning business cards into dynamics?

    Hi, Ivar -

As I responded in another post, the company I work for offers a business card reader that integrates with Microsoft Dynamics CRM. It's called FullContact Card Reader.

Some of the reasons you might want to check it out -

    • It uses real people to transcribe the business cards - so it's more accurate than OCR-based scanners.
    • It ties into MS Dynamics CRM using an app called Zapier - which lets you intelligently route new contacts from place to place. You can customize field mapping and other automation options to better support your personal workflow. You can also set it up to queue up a new email whenever you add a new contact.
    • Apps are available for iPhone, iPad, Android Phone, and Android Tablet.
    • If you have a team, we offer a Card Reader for Teams plan that gives you bulk pricing discounts.

(Full disclosure: I'm obviously biased, because I work for FullContact - so take what I say with a grain of salt. But if you're still looking, I hope you'll give it a try. It's a pretty robust solution).

Happy to answer any questions, if I can help. Best of luck!

    Hi Ivar,

LiiD for CRM, which is an app that integrates with Microsoft Dynamics CRM has that functionality (www.liid.com). Here is a short video on how to use the business card scanner: www.youtube.com/watch In addition to this, LiiD can also be used for logging calls, meetings and emails to Dynamics.

    Dear Ivar,

    My proposal:

    Use resco mobile crm.

This mobile crm application provides also a cam card integration.

This allows you - to scan business card directly to lead or contact record in dynamics crm.
