Replace technical specifications of items from BOM to Formula

Hello,

all of our items those are defined as products have configured for Production type as BOM. This is creating some problems, like the unit per series cannot be as float, only as integer. So the BOM is multiple by the actual quantity.

I want to change the configuration from BOM to formula, of course when I will not have any open production order.

BUT, my concerns for these adjustments if I affect

1. completed production orders. I will have access to those productions?

2. production costing.

Of course, I don't want to affect any previous records.

I don't know if I have to be noticed something else.

I have the same question (0)

Not really sure what the question here is. Are you asking if using formulas and batch orders will be different from using BOMs and production orders? Overall, there will not be any loss of functionality and you will get some additional features such as by- and co-products and active ingredient quantity correction based on batch attribute values.

I ask if I replace the Production type of our products from BOM to Formula, affects any other previous tasks that we do. As I asked above,

    1. Production orders with status 'Ended', that they are produced with BOM and not with formula, I will have access to those productions or because I will have change it I get an error or something else?

    2. Every month we run the production costing. This process will affect or not?

I understand. That should be fine. Existing open or ended production orders will remain in place and month-end inventory closing/adjustments will not affected. Only new orders will be created as batch with formulas instead of production with BOM.

I'm glad that you confirm that I don't have any issue.

    Thank you.
