Possible??? Mass account import + Connections

Hi guys,

Let me explain.

On of our partners sometimes gives us a list of companies suspected to be interesting prospect. We call them suspects me as an Inside Sales guy will cold call these companies to see if we can interest them for our services.

(I know, i'm a cold caller, dont bother commenting on that haha).

Anyway, my question is:

Is it possible that when we upload the suspect list that we let CRM automatically create connections to the account that we got these suspects from?

I've got another post out there asking about Bulk Editing Connections. This might a bit similar but is a different questions, thats why i chose to divide them into 2 posts.

Can anybody help?

Cheers

Thanks in advance

    Hi Luc,

I think that you need to make two csv files in one zip file.

    - first file csv is for accounts.

    - second csv file is for connections. If you have new Connection Roles You need to add a third csv file to import Connection Roles also (From and To).

all csv files should have 8Mb max and the zip file should have 32Mb max.

    Good Luck

    Really?

So then that would mean it works the same as with Notes and Regarding?

    That would be great!

I'm gonna try it out and will get back to you!

I wonder if Bulk Editing Connections also works like that but first I will test this one!

In the Data Import we can map data with connection entity so, try with two or three records.

Hi Luc, I know this is a really old post, and looks like you no longer have your blog.... you wouldn't happen to still have the step by step process documented would you? Would save me a lot of testing time! ;-)

Actually, I was able to test and figure it out pretty easily. Thanks Luc, no need to follow up!
