Freight charge in Transfer orders

Hi

I tried processing this through the load planning workbench but the freight charge isn't flowing through.

Does any one know what I might be doing wrong?

Also at what point can I see this freight charge flow through in the transfer header?

Is it at time of release to warehouse, ship or receive?

    Hi Sharon,

Yes this was the screen i was referring to. So while creating freight bill, did you selected order type as "Transfer order" ?

The charges button will be disabled until frieght bill is properly posted. If you notice well when you click on charges button, most of the fields are coming from TMS module.

    Hi all.

I am still having issues with this so round two goes...

My "Charges" are blank and I am unable to click "New".

Does anyone know where I can populate to get the charges coming through?

Hi Junaid. Thanks again for your reply.

I am stilling having issues getting this over the line. The amount still isn't getting through.

Is the freight bill this screen?

Eg with this the cost is $30 but on the corresponding transfer order the freight charge hasn't flown through

    Thanks

    Sharon, check Scenario # 2

Currently applying freight charges on "Transfer order" is not OOB available feature and we usually customize this functionality and i did it for one of our customer and that is bit tricky because we have to include charges in product running cost as well and ensure financial impact.  The only possible option is through TMS module. Freight charges field appearing on Transfer order screen is getting value from freight bill (TMS Transfer charges) screen.

    Hope it clarifies.

Hi Saurabh. Yes the transportation module is in play. Unless I've missed a step when configuring TMS.

    Hi,

Freight charge on transfer order are applied only if you are using transportation module freight functionality other wise we can not calculate freight charges how we do at sales or purchase order

The freight amount is still not flowing through and the blog is directed towards sales and purchases. Would you know where it's taking the amount from?

    Hi Sharon,

This Freight charges field on the Transfer order header is displaying charges from a table called TMSTransferCharges and that is related to freight bill and it doesn't have any impact on inventory costing.

There is a blog posted by D365 SCM team on AX 2012:

    cloudblogs.microsoft.com/.../

    Hope it helps.
