Fixed Assets Book Import

I am importing over 1,000 Fixed Assets items.  100 plus of which are Goodwill which should not be subject ot depreciation.  The Asset Gen Info went fine.  My problem is how to set the Goodwill items within the Book Window import so they do not depreciate.  I have set Amort Code to "None" as well as AVG Convention.  Yet the item is listed as Amortizable.

Is it because of Property type?

    On the Asset Book set the Depreciation Method to "No Depreciation"

    Ian,

    I am setting the Depreciation Method to NONE within the Asset Book Import, yet when we look up the Asset after the import the Depreciation Method will say Amortization.  I can set it to No Depreciation there and may end up having to do it manually.   I was just wondering what is overiding my import setting.

    Are you using the Asset Import/Export or Integration Manager?

    If you could send me a sample file, I'll take a look at the import and see if I can find out what's going on.

    I am using the Asset Import/Export within FA.  Do you want the Book Import of the Assets that are not importing correctly?

    Both the General and Book would be good; only a few lines which have failed would be needed.
