Hi,

I am using Cloud Migration Tool to Migrate Data from Dynamics GP to Business Central. However after connecting Integration Runtime, I am facing an error - "Failure in Replication" which says  database should have compatibility level >=130. Which is now 110 for all database including DYNAMICS and company database have level=100. Can I ALTER these levels to >=130. Will there is be any issues after Alteration. If I can`t change the level to >=130 , please suggest an alternative

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Mohammed!

I tried ALTERING compatibility level to 130. But can`t do so. For SQL Server 2012 , while Altering to 130 sql throws error "Allowed Compatibility levels are 90,100,110". I think the only way is to upgrade SQL Server from 2012 to 2016 or later , which supports compatibility level >=130. Please suggest if you find some another way .

    Thanks in advance

    Hi

Note: I am assuming you do have backup of Dynamics GP database, or you setup a test environment testing the migration

Which Dynamics Version and which service pack you are trying to Migrate, my question related to see if raising the level compatibility will make an issue or not

However changing the level from 110 > 130 or from 130 > 110 its doable and will not make issue any time you can raise it and revert it back,

Hint: Always see the minimum requirement so you can prepare your Dynamics GP for Data Migration by applying the minimum service pack, and sql server database requirements to do proper Data Migration.

Always take backup of your databased before performing any process.
