RE: Site ID vs. Class ID

There is a huge difference between the Site ID and the Class ID:

Site ID " Use the Site Maintenance window to enter and maintain information about the sites in your organization. Your sites might be stores, warehouse or work centers."

Class Id "Use the Item Class Setup window to create and modify item classes. You can use item classes to help speed up data entry tasks when you’re entering item records. You also can use item classes to “roll down” changes to the item class to all items that are members of the class."

Is this what you are asking about ?

Use the Dynamcis GP documentation, on any window just press the F1 to get essential details not only about the technicalities of the window, but the business logic within.
