Hello,

I want to enter a transaction on SALES TRANSACTION ENTRY (Microsaoft GP 10) but it gives me this error massage ('' Your previous transaction-level posting session has not finished processing. Please allow time for it to finish. If you believe it has failed , log out of Microsoft Dynamics GP and Log back in to recover transactions.'')   I logged out of Microsoft GP and Log In again but the message kept on coming. Today is the second day the meassage is still coming up.

Please what can i do so that i can post  transactions.

I'll really apreciate your quick responce.

Thank you

    Get everyone out of GP

Look at the batch files (SY00800 and SY00500)

You will find a batch created using the user ID that cannot get into SOP Transaction Entry.

    Delete that batch

You may also find batches with blank batch names.  Delete them

Here is the script I run when that happens. I am on GP 9 but I don't see why it wouldn't run for GP 10 the same. I execute this in SQL Server Management Studio on the company database.

/*Replace 'xxx' with the GP user name of that is having the issue*/

    DELETE SY00500 where BACHNUMB ='xxx'

If this doesn't work, you will need to take a look at the SY00800 table as well to see if that user is in there. This fixes that error message for me 99.9% of the time.

    Oh and by the way...

The SY00800 table is in the DYNAMICS database and not your company database.

Did you delete it using the script I gave you?  It sounds like you tried to delete it in GP and not SQL Server Management Studio.
