Smartlist data in SharePoint?

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport

Is there any way to take a favourite smartlist and get its data into a report in SharePoint (Dynamics SRS library) almost like a report subscription? As smartlists interact with Dynamics directly and are an internal feature to GP, and are not a report file as per se, I'm not seeing a way to do this out of the box, but does anyone have some ideas? Could I export the smartlist to a report and create that and then have it published to SharePoint? Any way to share smartlist data with executives (non-GP users)?

Thanks!

You can't put a SmartList itself into SharePoint.

The Excel Refreshable Reports, however, can be deployed to SharePoint.  The off-the-shelf Excel Refreshable Reports match the off-the-shelf SmartList favorites.

You can also consult the Dexterity programmers guide to get the queries for the off-the-shelf SmartList objects and then use that information for creating queries that you put into SharePoint.

Thanks so much! Is this the same as the Excel reports I've deployed to SharePoint?

I guess what I'm asking is this:

    Documentation says:

SharePoint excels as a report depository, storing the most up-to-date information of your data.  You can choose to house these reports in SharePoint so that they are accessible to users all over the organization, not just Dynamics GP users:

•Excel Reports – There are hundreds of pre-built Excel workbooks included in Dynamics GP 2010 that house a dynamic link to the Dynamics GP data so that when you click on a workbook, it brings back the most up to date information in your database.

    >>>We have the excel reports deployed, is that what is meant by Excel Refreshable reports, or are those in some other area? I don't see how we can edit the SharePoint Excel reports in Dynamics--is that possible?

You are correct that the Excel reports and the Excel refreshable reports are the same thing.

Did you deploy the Excel reports to SharePoint or to a shared folder on your network?

You can only view the Excel data in SharePoint or Excel.

What do you mean by edit?

I deployed the Excel reports to SharePoint, and you can also see them in Dynamics. I'd like to change some of the parameters for these Excel reports--add fields, etc. When I select the report in Dynamics and press "Edit Report" report builder appears and throws an error because it is an Excel file (also says it is Read-only) Can I change the parameters on these Excel reports somehow? And thanks so much for your help!
