Hello,
I have an active workflow on Purchase Quote. My user approval set up has been defined as below:
user 1 needs to be approved by user 2, it works just fine.
Now, user 3 has created a Purchase Quote and is trying to make order, but it's getting this message: "Purchase Quote 1020 must be approved and released before you can perform this action.". So the approval process is affecting this user even though they do not need approval. I've tried adding user 3 into the approval user setup with no approver ID and giving them unlimited purchase approval, but the user is still getting the message.
Any ideas of what to do so not all users will need to go through the approval process?
Thanks
Alejandra
Mornin Guy,
I thought that given them unlimited approval would exclude them from having to send for approval. I now understand that ALL users will need to request approval. However, I did have to update my workflow so the record goes straight to the released status, I updated the Approver Limit Type from Direct Approver to First Qualified Approver and it now works perfectly.
Many thanks for your help,
Alejandra
Has user 3 requested approval?
Even though they have unlimited approval limits, they must still request approval. BC will then check the workflow rules and recognise that the user has sufficient authority to approve themselves and the status will update to released.
If the quote meets the workflow conditions to be required, the approval process must take place. A user with unlimited approval doesn’t get to just bypass the process.
hi,
pls check your workflow setup, system asking for releasing PQ and then allow to make PO.
