SMTP EMAIL SETUP WITH INTERMEDIA EXCHANGE EMAIL

We have Intermedia exchange email.  Has anyone had any issues setting up SMTP email?  I keep getting the error that it can't authenticate the credentials even though I know my user and password and server URL are correct.  Could it be a permission set?  Or possibly something I should contact Intermedia about?

    In case it won't give you any hint or risolve the problem, please be in touch with your CSP/Reseller partner and have them troubleshoot it. If they cannot make it to resolve the problem, they could think of reaching out to support to receive some hint on this with a more detailed scenario explanation and logs.

    Keep in mind that Microsoft currently supports (as of today)

    I know that some e-mail providers f.ex. Gmail in some cases requires that you give the 3. party a special permission to send email through the mail service.

    Could something like that be the issue in your case ?
