Bulk reactivate deactivated Leads in Dynamics

We have a large number of old Leads that are deactivated that we want to reactivate in order to change their owners. There are lots of options of what you can bulk edit, but activate/deactivate doesn't seem to be one of them?

I can highlight 2 options for the requirement.

    1. SSIS package using Kingswaysoft or any other tools.

    2. Console application

As the above requirement looks like one time use it is better to have SSIS or console application.

    Thanks,

    Swetha

    Hi There,

What is the approx number of records? You might very well utilize the bulk workflow execution tool available in XRMtoolbox. All you have to do is pass the fetch xml to this tool and run the required workflow ( create an ondemand workflow in which deativate the status)

I have used that personally and liked it and wrote a blog on that : https://passion4dynamics.com/2017/12/27/run-on-demand-workflows-on-bulk-records-using-xrmtoolbox-bulk-workflow-execution/

    Hope this helpS!

    Hi,

Besides that, you can also use Microsoft flow to do that.

You can update Status field in MSSQL in dbo.LeadsBase table.

Write Query what records you want and update that table with status active for leads.

Check what is Value for Active Lead

    Hi,

Simplest way is to update using re-import functionality. Export all leads based on your criteria (include  state and status reason in advance find) and update state as 'open' and status reason as 'new' (or any open values) . Import the data back to CRM.

    Best Regards,

    Abhiram
