Hi everybody,
I set a default dimension for an account , the account number is  2010056

I've this problem : when I try to post a sales invoice with only  items in the lines and  the account linked to the item is the account 2010056

I'd like that the default dimension  on the account ( VALV ) was retrived from the account , instead I get this error :

How can I manage this problem?

Many thanks
Alessandro

    Hi
I would think that you should set it as the default dimension of the product. And in this case you have to take into consideration the default dimension priorities.
    Best regards

BC doesn't retrieve the dimension value from the account.
what your setting means is that user must fill the value valv for dimension business when 2010056 is posted to. So go to your sales invoice line and fill valv for business dimension column, BC will allow you to post.
If you don't see the column, use personalize to expose it.

It will only add default dimension to the sales line only if you use that G/L Account 2010056 directly on the line.
If you are using Item, it will use default dimension on the Item card.

However, the "Same Code" value posting still affecting the result when you use Item card that will hit that G/L Account indirectly.

    Hi,

Please check if there is a conflict on the sales invoice posting when defining the Business dimension value and default value posting on Sales G/L Account 2010056,
and also defining Business dimension value posting as "same code" for the items.

    Best Regards,
    Judy
