How do I delete a Sub-Account without deleting the master record

Hello,

I am trying to merge two accounts( Accounts A and B) and I have come across the circular reference error. I have noticed that one of the accounts (account A) has a sub-account of Account B. Does someone know how i can remove the sub-account from Account A. Any help would be greatful

    Hi Acrymby25,

    to remove the link between two account, you need to open the subaccount (Account B). Click on the parent account field, and delete the entry there (Account A). Click save.

    If you return in the Account A, you'll see that the account B is not part of the subaccount list anymore.

    Hi Acrymby25,

    In response of your question, to delete the account link. You need to go in the account that are the subaccount (that have a parent account). You have two to delete the link:

    1) click on the field and press delete on the keyboard.

    1) Click on the magnify glass and in the pop up windows, click the button remove value (bottom right).

    Save the account and the link will be removed.

    My fields are gray and I'm unable to change this box. Do you know if the Parent Account Field is suppose to be type-able? IF so do you know how we can turn that feature on?
