Missing components?

Dear Members, I am new to CRM and Dynamics. According to LearningLabs videos and other material, I should be seeing an area headed "My CRM", an area headed "Workplace", and a pane headed "Activities" yet I can locate none of these. I have "Relationships" and "Settings". Do I have an incomplete deployment of the CRM or could anyone point me to where/when I should be able to see the 'missing' components? Regards.

There are following possible issues that could happen

Did you make any changes in SiteMap?

Do you have proper security role assigned to you?

    Regards

I escalated the issue to Zero to Ten and the issue was clarified in a webcon with a US representative. The difference between the Learning Lab video footage and the Smart Start implementation as it appears were the issue: once the differences were explained by this, I had no further issue. I put this down (based on my experience) as a lack of necessary guidance from Zero to Ten, but they resolved it satisfactorily in the end.
