Updating from GP 9.00.0114 to GP 10, any level

Posted on by 180

I have been trying for weeks to upgrade GP 9 to GP 10 so we can move forward with new options and modules. I have tried to update by first updating  GP 9 to the latest which is 9.00.0388. I cannot seem to find a place where I can download and install GP 9.00.0352 (SP4).

The issue I am having now is that when I "fool" the GP 10 update into thinking that the installed version of GP 9 is the 9.00.281, the process completes, but the menu options for GP 10 are limited to just a few basic items. I cannot even go in and enter the GP 10 keys.

Does anyone have any inforamtion on this topic at all?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I was using sa from the beginning.

I finally got the system updated to 10.00.1579. I had to go into db_update and change all occurances in two columns from 388 to 352 instead of 281 (SP2) so the system would be fooled into thinking it was updating version SP4, not SP2. The only other thing I ran into was the UPR10202 table conversion. Since the instance of GP is not using payroll, I simply dropped the table and continued the update.

Check user security, may be the user not assigned to any security role.
