Error in exporting view to excel : "Failed to generate Excel"

Hello,

I am trying export a view to excel but I receive the following error :

"Failed to generate Excel

An error occurred when Dynamics 365 attempted to generate the Excel file. If this problem persists, contact your system administrator."

The number of records are 5000. There is a related entity column which seems to be causing the error. If I remove the column, the export works fine. Any ideas why this column is causing the issue?

Ideally this issue is coming when you are going to export   different fields with the same display label , secondly put some condition to reduce the number of records and check .

The display labels are different. Also, I have tried with 1 record but it still shows the error.

Try opening up Excel with a blank spreadsheet first.  I have seen this in some cases.  Worth a shot.

Yes I have tried with different fields. The error is thrown for only one particular column. It contains email ids.

Tried opening a blank excel sheet and then exported the view. Did not work for me. Still the same error. I am able to export a blank view but not with the values.

Hello, the column contains names and email ids. If I export for only names, it works. It fails if the column has email id. Any idea why it must be happening?
