Can someone guide me on how to migrate D365 finance and operations to Business Central
Can someone guide me on how to migrate D365 finance and operations to Business Central
I do not think Power Automate is a good strategy for data migration.
If you go to the customer list in Business Central and use the function edit in Excel you get a good idea about what data you should migrate from D365F&O to BC. But it requires some knowledge of Business Central to do it correctly.
Hi, If it's just the master data, like the experts above, I also recommend the Configuration Package. It won't take a lot of time to sort out the template import.

But if you want real-time synchronization, Power Automate is indeed a good solution.
Hope the following helps.

Hi Yun zhu is there any step by step guidance were we can migrate data through Power automation in BC.
for example i want to import data of customers from D365 f&o to BC.
The problem here is the template of BC which i exported is totally different from d365 F&O data exported. due to this we couldn't match the data. As the customer list has more than 80k it can't be mapped manually. so please help on this.
Hi Yun Zhu, Will have it tried and get back if it can be resolved.
Hi all thanks much for your responses. will mark solutions provided as verified if its resolved for me.
Hi, Sorry I haven't tried it, just adding a theoretically possible solution.
You might consider using Dataverse.
Finance and Operations data in Microsoft Dataverse – phase 3
Customizing an Integration with Microsoft Dataverse (Integrate custom tables)
Hope this helps.
Thanks.

There are lots of Dynamics partners out there that are delivering both Business Central and F&O. So i recommend you find a partner with experince from both systems, they should be able to provide you a good way to go from F&O to BC.
Daniele is correct, you need to treat this as a new implementation of Business Central and ignore that the products both have "Dynamics 365" in the name. You can use Config Packages or custom XML import tools to start your data migration.
Hi
are two different products
there is no migration tool between these two systems
so you should use the configuration packages
learn.microsoft.com/.../set-up-standard-company-configuration-packages
check my answer if it helped you, thanks
